Does anyone think we Riveria may transition to a 3-4 def

Watching the NFL network showcasing the Steeler and Packers defense it make me wonder if Riveria will not try to implement the 3-4 in the future?

If so do you think we will see any picks in the draft that may facilitate that?

It took Capers 2 years taking the 20th rated defense to a top 5 defense. It seems to me that it is the better option for pressuring the QB.What talent do we have that could work in the 3-4 and what talent will we need other than NT?

I stand by my statement that "Riveria" is the new "Kasey"

Rivera has stated something to the effect of using different defenses in different situations. I think he'll coach to our players' strengths. We have the personnel to run basic 3-4 schemes, but I think we're missing a few pieces to run those zone blitz packages.

I think with the CBA and the lack of time to evaluate talent it will be next year at the earliest.I do get the sense that this is a scheme he prefers and gives us the best shot at applying qb pressure w/o giving up the big play.

What I would be curious knowing is which existing players could transition and the talent we would need to aquire.Assuming we draft defense with our 1 pick could it affect who we pick or could Fairley transition to a 3-4

I think what he would like to do is use both in some type of a conversion defense like what the patriots use to play. Its really up to Rivera what will be best for the team i know Mcdermott is DC but Rivera will play a huge role in the Defense you cant bet everything on that scheme an play calling wise. But more then likely he will stay 4-3 for right now. But i believe we will change it later. It wouldnt be so hard the reason why is because we will use alot of it next year but what Rivera want is when he makes the switch he wants to have all the pieces in order. If we go defense in the draft who we select will let you know on what we will likely do more then likely.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
