Blacks Ops aka 'If you bought this game, you were robbed'..

Awesomeness!!

I'm not that big a fan of Call of duty like some people, but I can give credit where credit is due. Call of Duty 2 was my first COD, and I loved it. I skipped everything up to MW2, which might still be the best game I've ever played. The series as a whole thought....blah. Anyway I spent the day at my cousins house today, and played Black Ops for the first time. I decided not to buy it when it first came out because I knew what to expect, and I was 100% right.( Ok, I didn't have the 60 dollars, but I still probably wouldn't have bought it) This game is a complete rip off, and anybody that paid 60 dollars for it was just basically robbed of their hard earned money in a recession. The story mode is blah, and the multiplayer is the same exact thing from MW2. This game is basically madden 11. Madden 10 was the best football game in 5 years (we all know what I'm talking about) so Madden 11 was basically Madden 10, with updated rosters. I hope Activision doesn't make this a habit, and start releasing game after game stealing money from people. In the meantime, I'll keep playing BC2 and Medal of Honor, and wait for BC3.

CoD4 was the best in the series MW2 was good and could have been great but it had many many balancing issues, I have not yet been able to play Black ops yet (been in australia since october) but it wouldn't surprise me too much if at all with that game considering everything since CoD4 has been nothing but a copy of it.

with that said you never really have to pay full price for any game unless you can't wait 2 weeks for the super nerds to trade it in. bought W@W for $45 2 weeks after it came out.

most anything that could have been done in a FPS to date has been done, and if someone wanted to they could make a Super game but if they did that they would leave no room for improvement and kill the franchise, seriously a mil-sim crossed between MW1&2 and some of the good elements form the RB6 franchise would make a godly kick ass game, but no one will ever make it for reasons already mentioned.

this is also one reason I always was so amused by PSC, and his blasting of console games, as if anything hasn't already been done in a game.

I actually enjoy Madden 11 more than I did Madden 10. None the less Madden is trash, even if it was the best football game in 5 years, not really saying much unfortunately. :(

Yeah the COD games made by Activision suck.

/end thread.

Both were published by Activision neither were made by them. Activision doesn't make games....developers like Treyarch (Black Ops) and Infinity Ward (MW and MW2) do.....

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
