Cam Newton Gets Biggest Rookie Endorsement Deal Ever

There’s a raging debate about whether Heisman Trophy-winning Auburn quarterback Cam Newton has what it takes to make it as a quarterback in the NFL. But Under Armour has no doubt that Newton is going to be a star.

Darren Rovell of CNBC reports that Newton has signed a shoe and apparel deal with Under Armour that will be the largest deal ever given to an incoming NFL rookie, topping the $1 million a year deal Reggie Bush got from Adidas in 2006.

There is strong market support historically for making this kind of decision if you are UA. Basically there is an absolutely ridiculous amount of morons in these United States that would buy all the Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire garbage prior to draft day.

Quite fitting that Reggie Bu$h was mentioned as well.

    • No he didn't and he never did. Bryce is who Clausen thought he was. Clausen just threw the balls Bryce won't because he was also dumber with nothing to lose without that first overall paycheck.  Clausen had the worst arm I have ever seen and tiny hands to boot. Bryce is just your typical NFL bust level talent without the hunger or need to earn a roster spot...yet
    • Goff put on a pretty good clinic last night on how to throw the ball.... of course he can actually see the field.
    • I think i am getting to a place of apathy with this pro franchise They need to move on from Young quickly and perhaps Canales and morgan  anyone who thinks they shouldn’t need only to watch the top 15 teams in league  the Panthers are light years away  …not being able to sustain a vertical offense, run a qb sneak for a yard.  Give me a break  after investing millions in the oline, drafting WRs, giving up multiple assets for multiple years for the worst  qb ive ever seen at the NFl level, warrants it  it is sadly what it is
