Smitty to pats?

The Vikings got Randy Moss, for peanuts (4th), anyone who thinks New England would waste that high of a pick on a I hate to say this...old receiver? Umm, no.

They just plug guys in, in their spread system, got guys like Woodhead, and Welker killing underneath. Hell they even resurrected Deion Branch's career. This won't happen.

Conventional wisdom says keep Smith, this team has few holes and is just two seasons removed from the playoffs. All we lost were aging vets, and an overpaid avg QB. Carolina has the pieces/coaching staff to make the playoffs, consistent QB play and a healthy O-Line to me are the biggest areas where we need to improve.

With the addition of a vertical passing game aimed at getting all the WR's involved, as well as utilizing the TE I look for our offense to take a nice step forward in 2011. I don't think we lose anyone in free agency.

this guy gets it

Trading Steve Smith for anything right now would be stupid, unless it is for a 1st and that is not happening. There is nobody the Panthers will draft that will give the kind of production Smitty will and still can. Smith still has skills and can even develop into a slot guy, etct and still be catching alot of balls for several more years at least, ecspecially in a better offense.

I dont know... unless Smith is totally b*tching and wants out of here, I can see it being done or if the Panthers really want a second :conf:

Maybe the rest of the league need's an eye exam.lol If he want's a trade he'll get it. I'd hope that's the only way it would happen. If someone got him for a 3rd, it's a steal. I hear the chatter about him getting older, people do that. Unless you think he sit's around pounding down twinkie's and zinger's all day. The fact is with the right QB, he could be very effective. I'd say Tom Brady would be quite happy to have that old man #89. And our QB play last year was so great, what's up with smitty lollollollollollollol damn
