I wasn't even crossing my fingers until 30 seconds before our pick, and I think we all know how badly I wanted T-Mac, lol.  And I only came around at the end there when the guys on NFL Network using past tense multiple times that they thought we would have gone defense with out pick right before they announced it.

The past few weeks of only hearing about defense had me 100% convinced we were going that way, whether it was Walker, Nolan, or a trade back for someone else, I wasn't even hoping for T-Mac once we got on the clock and he was there, I was just ready to be disappointed.

I also think that's why it was so exciting for me, because I was so convinced it wasn't even a possibility, that it was a legitimate shock to me.

LFG!!!!!!! bhahahahahahaha

of course we wanted to trade down, for the right deal, dont be silly

If the cowboys jumping us to 7 for tmac was the sole reason to have this smokescreen then thats pretty silly, dude you are bit blinded out the level of prospect he is.   As many have noted he would have been the wr 5/6 in last years draft.  He benefited greatly in timing.

Well played haha

Does it at least make you feel better about us taking T-Mac instead of Golden like you wanted, now that there are all these reports of teams like the Rams and Cowboys badly wanting T-Mac and trying to move up for them, but the Cowboys then passed on Golden and the Rams didn't try to trade up for him either?

Sorry missed this.  I was not really wanting a WR in the first--yes, it makes me better knowing the Rams and Cowboys and (another team) wanted him.  Those teams are pretty good judges of WR--except Mingo.

The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard.

The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.

    • I think the racist stuff is barking up the wrong tree with Tepper. He is all woke and stuff. Not that liberal white people can’t be racists they are in their way pretty racist.  Or can be,  I for sure agree about the yes man aspect and particularly apply that to Wilks.  I didn’t understand the Rhule hiring at all. Did not want. But down the line with Wilks, zi personally wanted him, and personally did not see the racism being a factor in the Reich hiring as much as the fixation with offensive minded play callers and copying that trendy model.  I am having a hard time calling to mind any Black coaches who were out there with the big offensive rep. At one time Byron Leftwich was a hot name who I liked. Don’t remember what happened there but he faded. Bienemy but I never believed in him much personally. I think Tepper basically excluded defensive guys and went for the top rated play caller OC types. And couldn’t get Ben Johnson and ended up settling with Reich.  Who ended up NOT being a yes man at all.
    • Someone like Steve Smith wouldn't have last half a season under Tepper.
    • Idk what we look like against the Rams.  I do know that any idea of making the playoffs is over.  What Canales has proven is when we need it, we don’t get it.  When we don’t need it or it’s unexpected, we usually get it.  We’ve lost too many games already that should’ve been wins for us to make up ground on the back end.
