I like him.  He just needs to develop more and he needs to stay in college a year.

he also needs to get out of SC and go to a stacked team (with a good OC) where developing is easier when not forced into a hero ball role.

He should go to Southern Cal and let Riley work his magic. He helped Hurts a lot when he went to Oklahoma.

I don't think he's very good either, but you just need to manage the game behind this OLine with these weapons.

Tough to do that when you're wildly turnover prone. He's just one of those guys who looks the part and has all the tools, it just never comes together for him. Every time he has a streak of a few decent games and you think he may have possibly turned the corner he'll have an absolutely atrocious game and remind you of all the massive red flags.

As he threw what should've been a pick... LOL

How was Malachi Toney only a 3* recruit? Not even a top 50 national WR recruit. Barely top 50 overall within the state of Florida.

The recruiting service evaluators sure whiffed on that one. He's currently a top 50 receiver in the country as a true freshman and trending straight skyward. I wouldn't be shocked if he's flirting with top 10 by the end of the season.

Just turned on the LSU vs Texas A&M. Very disappointed in what I'm seeing in Nussmeier. He made a gesture that the Wr ran the wrong route and then threw a ball well behind another receiver. Is this just a bad series or is he less than the hype?

I've never understood the hype around the guy. I'm just not seeing anything that screams 1st maybe even 2nd round draft pick.

He has never been worth the hype.

Not seeing any QB's worth a potential starter pick this year lol. No one is jumping off the screen as a dude

I keep telling everyone this class is rough. It's very heavy on backup QB's.

But all these folks acted like this 2026 class was gonna be one of the greatest.

My whole point on that was all the guys they mentioned in the list of great prospects for this draft.....skipped this past draft, which was a bad QB class.

So....how does that math work?

    • BPA in draft all the way. Address your biggest needs in free agency.
    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
