I wish I could get paid millions to absolutely suck at my job with tons of people fluffing me every off season

Me too. I just want us to move on from Bryce. I don't need to beat him down in the process. It sucks to watch someone who seems like a legitimately decent guy being publicly humiliated but it is what it is.

That's the second-worst part about all this. I truly like Bryce, Canales and Legette. They're easy to root for on a personal level. But they're just completely inept.

It just sucks all the way around. It sucks for us that Bryce ain't it and it sucks for him to get a chance to live out his dream just to realize he's simply not good enough. That's what you're watching. A young man coming to grips with that reality. At least he put millions of dollars in the bank in the process.

Guys a multimillionaire and got a chance to be a big-time college player and a stint im the NFL. I wont shed any tears for him.

Yeah, as I watch him sulk on the bench and all of us poo talking his play, I feel bad for him momentarily.  Who wouldn’t want that opportunity?  Who wouldn’t take it?  And who would, as a competitor, willingly just throw in the towel and say, “you know what guys?  I acquiesce.  I’m not good enough.”?  So I get that, and for those reasons, I feel bad for him.  It’s not anything against him as a human being.  It’s as a player.  Because then I think about all of the hype leading up to his being drafted, and how he played a part in that.  Knowing what limitations you have, and you refused to workout pre-draft at the combine.  You swindled yourself into that opportunity. And even if you fail, and even though you cost our organization invaluable assets that fast tracked the Bears rebuild while we continue to struggle, you still walk away with life-changing, generational wealth.  So, that’s where my sympathy ends.  It’s a big boy game now.  You’re not good enough.  Period.

People have different words they use to stall while organizing their thoughts. He deserves plenty of criticism for his performance but the speaking is kinda low.

A simple dale Carnegie course would rectify this.  It’s not hard.  He and canales sound like idiots

Yep, pretty much. I don't know how anyone didn't see what was going on when he showed up to the Combine and hid underneath that hoodie and backpack all weekend. I guarantee you he'd been chowing down at the buffet as hard as he could and came in chubby to weigh in as heavy as possible.

I meant that it's low to criticize someone for using "um" repetitively when a vast majority do it. I doubt you're a well-respected orator among all your peers.

The vast majority repetitively use um as frequently as Bryce does? What neck of woods are you from? Umsville? 😛

If we were a competent organization the decision would have been made right then and there to take Stroud.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
