Bryce Young is a problem — what would you do if you were Dan Morgan?

We already have a bad vet on the team. They will let Young crash and burn one more game before he's benched again and will ride Andy for as long as they can until the season is over. If Andy goes down then I'm not sure what they do.

I have a feeling Bryce is gonna play well because it is the Cardinals and people will once again say that he is back to his end of season self.

Thats going to happen even if he plays bad. Stop worrying about what others say and worry about what the team does. Only they control what happens.

Ride with Bryce unless there's a Rams game pt. 2, then you'll have to bench him again. I think everyone agrees a second benching means you're done here.

Send Dalton out there for morale and improved play, sign someone off the street if needed. Draft a new QB next year or find a stop-gap QB in the offseason and try to focus on defense during the draft.

So, we're in the crapper for another 2-3 years minimum

And that's only if things start improving in the choices this franchise makes

Yeesh

Our offense is pretty much set. Slot in a rookie/vet that plays marginally better and we can win games.  This is not the offense from last year. We are not as bad as we looked last game.
Bryce’s inability to play consistently well and develop has really hurt us making our defense better because if he doesn’t solidify his starting position we will have to spend another first round pick not on the defense.

After the preseason I think all Dalton can do is be the tank commander. He seemed like he didn’t want to be here.

Im waiting a couple more weeks to see if Jones looks consistently good in Indy and making a very low end offer for AR because he will be on the outs. Is he going to suck? More than likely. But can he actually make the throws physically to open up the field? Yes. We've got suck right now and Dalton isn't going to change that. Who knows what could happen. But a full season of what we saw Sunday will cost DC the locker room.

AR is dogsh*t. Do not waste a pick on some else's trash. Let's draft our own garbage from now on.

That's fine. I'll hold him in my heart forever for that Raiders performance, that was vindicating as hell.

Dalton loves it here and so does his family. He's said so before. He'll retire a Panther.

Whatever Young's fate here will be will take place after this season.

I was talking about someone else to play this year. If Dalton goes in early then he isn't making it to the trade deadline.

They will not trade Young this season. As bad as he's playing they still need him until they feel comfortable that Hooker can backup Andy. So no matter how much some fans want him off the team now it's not happening until the season is over.

If I were Dan I would consider drafting better players instead of future UFL rejects.

I say this as a HUGE Dan Morgan fan -- but I gotta keep it a buck. He's made some good moves but if this year's draft pans out like last year's, his seat will be white-hot and justifiably so. He's made some moves I thought were great (fleecing Dallas in the Mingo trade), some I thought were stupid but ended up being pretty good (Johnson trade) and then some I was indifferent about that ended up being stupid (the entire 2024 draft).

    • Yeah, I've been torn up all week about this. And I'm going to be honest, you and I don't know poo about what is going on with the team. Are they losing the locker room? Not seeing anything from the players about that, just seeing it on forums like this. Are they concerned? Yeah, I'd think that would be a reasonable assumption. Are they rallying around Bryce? Yeah, that I'm seeing from the stuff we see of the players. Is some of it a bit drummed up, quite possibly. Is some of it genuine care and belief in their teammate, yeah most definitely. What is Morgan going to do? Hell, that was just week 1. And week one is often a liar. Once in a while it tells the truth (and that sure was an ugly one to tell last Sunday). Most often, it's just what it is. Half the teams that played in week one lost. Straight down the middle. Sometimes it was a close game, sometimes it was a blowout. We got punched in the face, had our lunch money stolen and Jacksonville kissed our girlfriend.  Me, I saw a team that wasn't up to speed yet. We were playing like this was the fourth pre-season game like we used to have. We're going to learn a lot about Bryce, this team, our coaching and team management after this week's game. It's against the Cardinals, a team that has always been one of those benchmarks for it. Beat them and good things happen (remember that killer game Julius Peppers had against them), lose and it often starts the fast slide to the bottom again (sadly, that playoff game with Jake...). Right now, the Cardinals have their Bryce Young, except their guy still has a better PR department. They have a meh-ish defense. They have a star WR that is underperforming and was possibly over-drafted. They don't have many stars to speak of and dwell around 3rd-4th place in their division on a regular basis. In other words, they are pretty much on par with us. And they are a forgotten team as well, playing games in obscurity. So, yeah, we're going to learn the tale of the season this weekend. And honestly, if we lose like we just did or worse, and I was Dan Morgan, I'd be working on polishing up that resume`.
    • Lol I don’t understand why everyone is liking that post and quoting it, it’s from last season. Did I miss something?
    • At this point, I don't want anymore fools gold from Young. He either needs to be in the MVP conversation  (lol) or I want to get blown out every game until he is off the team. Our front office just isn't bright enough to handle anything in between.
