The only real difference is Andy will take more chances down field which leads to turnovers. Young is too risk adverse for his own good. Were I him and is about to be out of the league soon I would sling the ball all over the place whether I physically could do it or not. What does he have to lose that he's not already lost? I just don't get it.

I can agree with the taking chances part but his YPA, which everyone complains about with BY, aren't any better.

I say this as a BY supporter but at this point, I would put Dalton in just to see how much, if any, the offense improves. My guess would be not much if any.

Young’s bummy but if you can only work with a specific archetype of a QB you’re not a good coach and you definitely shouldn’t be calling plays. Felt the same way about Reich not even trying once he realized he didn’t have Andrew Luck to make him look good anymore.

It won't improve. It will look better for a few quarters only by throwing deeper interceptions until Andy inevitably crashes.

I can understand that argument when we have the lead or the game is close, not when we are down by multiple touchdowns like the AZ and NE games... Let Bryce air it and if he throws a pick 6, that's more ammunition for why you need your QB. Calling these pussy draw plays and punting the ball back to the other team to then let them score again is why he is a failure of a coach.

We know Tepper sometimes watches film with coaches. I'm really reaching here with my tin foil hat, but it's possible DC is trying to get Tepper to give him green light to go get another dude and he is showing him tape where he ran to run b/c Bryce can't get it done.

I think Canales is protecting him too with some of these play calls. Like he gets fired if Bryce does or something.

You do that by showing him Bryce can’t do what’s being asked of him, not by calling dumb plays and being like “trust me bro.”

I don’t know that I would come to that interpretation of those doings.
I might agree that they are two different kinds of quarterbacks but I would separate them into the categories of NFL capable and non capable.
Reich knew that young was a disaster when he got a close up look at his bag of QB tricks. Word is he wanted to sit him so he could maybe get some remedial coaching to bring him up to snuff for competing against the big boys.
He knew the ship would go straight to the bottom with Captain Bryce.
Two different kinds of QBs that have success in the NFL are the backyard athletes and the traditional pocket passing surgeons.

I think either coach could deal with either style as long as the body and the tools were suited to the job. Maybe not, I can’t think of examples of both kinds for either coach.

Vince fuging Lombardi would fail with Bryce and June Jones would also fail with him. My opinion.

Edit: I probably meant to say Jim Mora Jr, was looking for the Mike Vick coach.
