If Bryce was a good QB overall playing well this would be funny. As is, it's not something I get riled up about. As much as I don't want Bryce as our starting QB he really does come across as a genuinely good dude. When I first saw this clip I assumed Bryce was throwing it away but seeing that downfield camera able looking back at him the way he's watching the ball with anticipation I honestly think it was probably just an atrocious attempt at a back shoulder throw. He was watching that ball like he expected a play to be made on it, not with the disinterest of a ball intentionally thrown away.

5-wide out of the shotgun with 7sec left on the clock. There's enough time to either take a shot at the endzone or get it OOB.

Jimmy Horn Jr is 1-on-1 on the boundary side with three safeties standing on the GL. 3-step drop and throw.

At the time of the pass, JHj had the DB over top. Throwing for the endzone in that situation would be unbelievably stupid. The correct call based on the coverage and post snap action was to throw it away and kick the field goal.

If folks want something to poo on Bryce over, the fumble was atrocious and inexcusable.
