We would actually have a defensive player better than Slavin.  Only because he scores more. But damn he is good.

Because that's the new Canes- sign someone before they get a commitment for a long term deal. Say hello to Jake Guentzel and Rantaanen.

If they haven’t learned their lesson with those two then they never will. Basically expensive rentals who don’t want to be here and the team suffers for it.

Jake absolutely wanted to be here. Tulsky waited too late for the contract. Said so in multiple outlets.

Yea it's like Carolina giving Nadeau, Stankoven/Blake, Nikishin plus a first. I'm sure that's pretty close to what Vancouver was asking for from the canes. Crazy haul imo.
