All it took for me was Young. I don’t see that he has earned a future yet, and I thought these remaining games were his pass fail test.

If their minds are made up already, I am not sure I can find the will to remain interested.

Only way it make sense is if it is a long term thing. maybe a player for player. 
I normally wouldn’t worry a team in our position renting in this situation but Tepper is in the mix.

The player needs to younger than 25 with some sort of multi-year contract length. I remember Rod Gardner trade and think how smart and how great of move that would result for the Panthers........I think he caught 3 balls and was a total non-factor....

Just given history, Im not giving any hope for gaining help via trade deadline......Im much more of fan that sells.....but we are talking the Panthers roster here....

Add that to the fact that they used a high second round pick for Treyvion Henderson and are still mainly using Rhamondre.  Makes 0 sense.

If there is a GM dumb enough to take on Chuba's contract, I'd literally just give him away. 

But that would require someone stupider than Dan Morgan, and I don't think that concussion riddled GM exists.

Chuba's contract is structured really well. Panthers could cut him after this season and only be on the hook for a small dead cap hit.

Add on to this with the details. If he's cut or traded in the off-season he has a dead cap hit of 4.5m. 

 

If he's traded right now, he would have a dead cap hit of 1.6m this year and 4.5m next year.

That’s when you get into essentially buying  a draft pick. They make the return worth the financial grief.
