Watching the highlights since I was working earlier, gotta say this was a good draft. Getting that kind of production pretty much top to bottom is how you build a good roster. T-mac obviously, edge rushers are not blowing minds but doing their jobs, then Evans, Jimmy, Ransom all contributing every week is something we haven't seen from a full draft class in my memory.

Marty never had a draft like this.

Not as complete and immediately contributing no for sure.

Also to the guys original comment the edge guys are doing enough/more than can he expected from 2nd and 3rd rounders as rookies its a postion that takes 2-3 years to bloom for most guys.

Yeah we are eating off of this draft.
It will be a lot harder to repeat this as the roster improves.  We had a lot of holes and I think that is why some of these guys are contributing. But it is exactly what we needed when we needed it.

I think our success will depend on how deep this draft is for contributors. The last draft was loaded so Dan had more to choose from. I have not looked into this draft other than the qb's. Its going to largely depend on the choices available where we pick.

I don’t know the density of the 2026 draft class either but this last one was a rare draft, how many teams ever get those results?
If we could get three out of the next one I’d consider it a big win.

It rarely happens. It never happens for the Panthers. We need to get at least 4 contributors from every draft to turn this team around.

It sure is. But its a talent depleted team so they have to go all out to fix it.

And as they successfully raise the talent floor, it gets harder to find a handful of contributors in a given draft. I mean a low talent floor is likely at least partially a factor in so many late rounders getting playing time.

At the same time, players need meaningful reps IN Games, to really develop. A lot of guys don’t get that on better teams. So we could probably develop guys here better than a stacked roster. Lots of variables.

I agree. We have more opportunities for draft picks to contribute earlier. But that's a good problem to have because you can build the team on cheaper salaries for a while if you do it right. If you do you have time to get your cap in order for the future. Dan is struggling with this cap thing but maybe Tillis can work his magic for Dan.
