Why does Bryce get the blame?

Yes, yes there is absolutely a way it works.  How often do you ever see a coach and gm get multiple chances at picking the qb?  If it happens its damn rare.

And the jury is still out on Morgan.  poo draft last year, 2025 is trending down so yeah I suspect after next year we will have a pretty good resume to judge dan and dave.

Yes I am sure he is loving having one of the worst offenses and worst performing qbs in the nfl.  Especially after being told DC was some offensive dude that could "fix" bryce.  I am sure he is estatic about that fact

This may surprise you, but there's no real evidence that David Tepper shares your feelings on either of them.

On the flipside, his recent comments on "what they were building" actually did sound pretty positive.

Granted, behind the scenes stuff and unexpected stuff happens (both guys could get caught hitting on m members of the Top Cats, etc) but there looks to be enough good will around both of them that it's likely take way more than just a down year from Bryce to get both of them sent to their rooms without any supper.

You don't give up what we did and take a guy #1 overall if any of the crap he said is true.

Right so your issue should be with Tepper, Fitterer and Morgan not Bryce

Bryce certainly didn’t ask for this dog sh!t organization to trade up to take him at 1

What he said obviously isn't the CASE the team clearly expected a prime Russell Wilson/Drew Brees combo of some sort you can see that from how the plays were designed before they realized hes too much of a b*tch to attempt the things Wilson did and not accurate enough to make the throws Brees did.

Bryce is so bad I'm praying they sign Howell and give him a shot in Canales modified run/spread/PA air Coryell....  Brycey cant consistently hit the deeper plays to make it effective.

I love the idea of signing Howell but I doubt it involves any chance to win the starting job.

Don't know if I'd go that far.

It was still Reich in charge at the time (who I, like many, still believe would have preferred Stroud) and the phrase they kept using to describe Bryce was "point guard".

In football terms that translates to a West Coast style quarterback, which is what Bryce was (and is).

To answer the thread title directly Bryce is getting credit for game winning drives when he doesn’t throw a pass. He gets credit for game winning drives when it’s just a field goal after a Daniel jones fumble.

Yeah Bryce is going to get blame when he can’t outperform Tyler shough. Sword cuts both ways.

You sound slow.

Bryce Young is 24. Brees didn’t do a think until he was 25. Russ was a 24 year old rookie placed in the most ideal situation ever

Hell, Shough is 26 (I think) and had some injury issues during his college years.

I know Saint fans are happy with him so far but it's still a small sample his age likely means a shorter pro career assuming he stays healthy (which you can't assume).

The Saints would be wise to keep an insurance policy, and probably a better one than Spencer Rattler.

You act like he is going to fill that slight frame out and suddenly grow 2 inches to be the same height (yes I know Brycey is WWE billed height at 5'10 but its obvious they measured his hair 🤣🤣 he's 5'8 on a good day I've met him at training camp myself I'm just a shade over 6'0 barefoot and he comes up to the bottom of my chin.

Getting older also isn't gonna magically make him grow a pair of balls.

I do too, but I'm not denying reality in the process.

If I wanted to make an argument to move on from Mitchell ,(I don't, but for argument's sake) and among my main debate points were that he was too short and hasn't caught a pass this season, would you accept those as valid points?

If he was 5'9 and 180 lbs he wouldn't be a NFL tight end because he isn't capable of playing the position to its maximum potential due to physical limitations. Catching a pass is irrelevant because he is physically incapable of performing half of the position requirements.

we are comparing Bryce to Brees again 🤣

Holy fuging poo this magic

Except he's not. He referenced Brees and Wilson in reference to the ages at which they started trending up.

Oddly enough though, both Brees and Wilson share a similar playing style (i.e. "point guard" type WCO distributor).
