I think Horn really just had one really bad play Sunday.  But that's sort of what you pay him for.....that one man on man play at the goal vs Olave.  That's supposed to be Horn's strength.  Being able to play man over zone.

I still think Horn lacks the one season that actually proves he is what we think he is.

On the season his stat line versus NO is:

8 completions on 12 targets, 157 yds, 3 TD's, 0 INT's, 2 Passes Deflected

Half of his total TD's allowed has been to the Saints.

The Saints have absolutely dominated him.

If you are going to line him up against Olave, who is a great route runner, you have to let him press him and get him off his route.  Playing him on an island against Olave with 5-8 yards space in front of him is not using him to the best of his abilities IMO and it gives Olave a nice advantage.

I haven't got a problem with Horn. But I have got a problem with paying him that contract while he plays in this soft coverage crap we trot out week in week out

That's my issue, he's got the top CB money for a few days, like in the largest CB contract in NFL history and I believe he still has a large guarantee which is tied to GP, but....... he's had bad moments during the season for being the "guy". Still a fan and all, but I understand the whispers, cause Ive had them during the season. Then he has a 2 INT game, but falls down twice in the next game.....I swear the trolly "he's got money on the game comments"....... it has felt like that at times..... lock in horn they need you!!

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
