I mean, keep telling people XL is a bust. It's literally based almost solely on watching so many bust WR's right here in Carolina alone.

TBH, to date he has been one of the worst we have ever had. Not based even on production or abilities, he just doesn't seem to know what he is doing so often in a game. Or give effort often enough.

It's really unbelievable. I honestly don't see how you justify giving him a roster spot in 2026.

And as he proves time and time again, it’s not worth the gamble of throwing to him.

I laddered his receiving yards from 25 to 80 lol. If he made that relatively routine grab over the middle I think he would have gotten 25 yards and I would have broken even. It's clear Bryce doesn't trust him because he doesn't even look his way 99% of drop backs. I'm not sure why Dave insists on having him out there on 80% of snaps. Everytime Jimmy Horn gets the ball he does something positive with it. If XL was out there using his big body and mauling dbs on run plays then it would be worth having him on the field but more times than not he's missing blocks too

I think Nijmans' run blocking was pretty bad

We had some serious run blocking problems. Tampa's run D was a weakness for them coming into this game and they really sold out on keeping us bottled up. They succeeded at that. They were more prepared for Rico than Chuba, but both guys struggled.

Nice to see we were able to adjust.

I would chalk this up to sophomore slump but it's hard to slump much further than his rookie year.

It has literally been a year where he just seems to care less and less.

I'm going to say this, because it happens to a lot of young guys that get drafted high each year. If they've never had anything, and suddenly find themselves getting checks for a couple of hundred thousand dollars per week, they don't know what to do with it or don't know how to handle turning this into a career.

I think  XL might be one of those guys. He desperately needs someone to sit down with him, explain what being a selected star and then having to take the secondary receiver role means and how to turn that into a long, meaningful career. If Muhsin Muhammad could spend some times with him, Xavier might get this straightened out and become a contributor. He's got the skills, he's got the physicals, his brain just isn't into it and I question the maturity.
