Peppers is a DE not a QB, and on the verge of a team giving him a lot of money and risk, Pepper's wasn't expressive not unintelligent. And nothing will excuse cheating, it shows a couple things, possibly an intelligence problem and if not, then a preparation problem. You cam lovers seem to excuse everything with this kid, it really makes people believe anything good about him is just hype so wake up a little.

Intelligence and football IQ got hand in hand becasue it takes an amount of one to understand the other. Now days QBs benefit from being smart too. And nothing will excuse cheating, it shows a couple things, possibly an intelligence problem and if not, then a preparation problem. And the posters that are just addressing the cheating aren't addressing the theft, or he is a one hit wonder, or he couldn't beat The Golden Calf of Bristol, and .... well the many flags are there and they know it. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.

They MUST have that one guy they can suck nutz on and he is the guy this year. Next year it will be someone else, two or three years from now someone else will be the 'greatest to ever come out, no one else like him'. Been watching football for over 35 years, it never changes.

Cam did not deny it. He simply said he wanted to focus on the future.

Don't really have an opinion yet on whether Cam is intelligent or not (made a comment relating to that in another Cam post a minute ago) but in regards to Peppers, you must not have watched any time he gave an interview (very rare occasion). If you listen to him talk, he sounds like a mongoloid. Same way you can listen to Vince Young and tell he's an idiot, same for Peppers. Outstanding athlete, great football player when he wants to be, but dumb as hell.

I have not seen Vince Young talk so I don't know about him, I do know there are very few lesser intelligent, successful QBs, while there are plenty that are not so smart, and are successful players.

Not trying to go back and forth with you, but I wouldn't say my comparison is baseless. Just my opinion, but to me I think there is 'football intelligence' vs. 'book smarts'. My reference to Julius, is that he seems unintelligent, but has the knowledge to read offenses, along with the physical attributes to dominate.

I will agree with you that a QB needs to be smarter than other positions, so I won't argue with you there.

JR knew there is going to be a salary cap when a CBA gets done and he has positioned this team to have MORE Money than most to spend when it gets here. We have high draft picks which helps. He waited on Fox and ended up getting a coach that I think will lead us to at least one Superbowl championship in his time here.
