Rod was asked in post-game to talk about Jalen Chatfields night...

"That was a bad break really [on the second goal against]. Happened the other night too where we dumped it and it hit our own guy and they go for a breakaway. Those are tough breaks, but it's tough to find fault in that game for anybody."

SMH... seriously, dude? Chatty put up a stat line of 1g, 1a, 3s, +2, 1hit and was a man possessed on defense for 21 minutes tonight, and you wanna focus on the one bad play in a 5-2 win?!?

I’ve been a critic of Freddie all year. But he played awesome last night.  Every shot he saw was a high danger.  All of them. From that first breakaway when we were on the PP to the very end. Those two goals weren’t on him whatsoever.  Miller was butt cheeks last night on both goals. Miller literally left his man in the offensive zone to get off the ice ….WIDE open in front of Freddie then lazyily skated back to freddie.  We were all yelling at miller to get back as it was happening then boom. Freddie was great.

Not a chance. Both were as high danger as it gets.  1st was a 3 on 0 where the ducks passed it three feet in from of Freddie. The other was a side door tap in. Doesn’t get more high danger.  Plus he helped kill off a 5 on 3 where most of the shots happened
