The best OT in the draft.

Will be long gone by pick 19 lol

Fano will likely be gone, but this guy may still be around, because he mainly plays RT. But I think he can make the switch, plus we're looking for a long term replacement for Moton, Also, he's huge and a SAMOAN (always draft a Samoan if possible).

IDK, I see a lot of early mocks predicting him higher.

I am 100% in on a new LT/RT option. It really alleviates a lot of potential panic movement if either Ekwonu or Moton are gone in the 2027 offseason.

I think it is criminal to not prepare as if you have two new OT's in 2027. Just be prepared now.

I am still sticking with Styles at 19 or trade the pick.   I personally dont see a ton first round talent in this draft

Styles would be fantastic but he is a pretty decent candidate to go ahead of us.

I think there is ample talent around 19 and I would be VERY against trading down. That is not something I trust this FO to be able to do successfully.

BPA and move on.

I've seen a lot of people mocking him to the lions at 17, so we may need to leapfrog them unless he slips a little.

Styles should be the pick if available.

I know Allen is the consensus LB3, but I’m all in on the Texas LB, Anthony Hill Jr. Whether it’s at 19 (I think he moves up after the combine) or if we trade back a bit and add more picks, Inthink he can wear the dot for us.

I also wouldn’t be opposed to a swing tackle that can help reinforce our future RT spot. I do think Mauigoa can fill in at LT in ‘26 but be our long term solution at RT for Moton.

Good teams plan ahead for aging vets, especially on the OL. Who knows, maybe Icky turns out to be a better RT post-surgery. He’s rarely ever played the position but his strengths and build have always screamed RT.

LB is not a huge need for the Lions, so that is odd. 100% against any trade ups.

Hill I sometimes see in the 2nd, maybe he slides there too.

Agree on the OL planning. Plan for the future, not the present.

That’s ‘funny’.  Morgan has been very good trading down. It is the trading up that gets the pitchforks out.

No he definitely hasn't. At all. The trade downs have been as big a disaster as the trade ups. It's not the decisions to do so as much as they immediately squander all the trade resources on bad players. Typically while passing on very good players.

Looks like Moore is officially staying at Oregon. I'm sure that will have a large impact in the upcoming draft with only 1 real top pick QB

Yep. Raiders might get a LOT of tempting calls now.

Edit: Side note, this is the kind of move directly tied to kid's getting paid. It isn't a big financial risk to remain in school and develop.

You also give yourself a chance of not having the Jets sitting in the spot you are projected lol

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
