He is also reportedly a very, very smart guy.

That's why it's so frustrating to see him be so inflexible schematically and with some of the questionable personnel decisions.

Not making excuses for him because he has made some really bad decisions at times (like last Saturday). And is ultra conservative with the defense. But compared to other teams he has been on, he has had the least amount of talent here.

Agreed but Denver did get much better on defense after him. I think a pretty good chunk of that was just it being built but I would never consider him in the top 15 of NFL DC's.

I often wonder if having Capers on speed dial is what is holding hom back. The game has changed since Capers had an impact on the league. Evero might need a different voice in his ear.

I feel like at three years here, he could take the mentor training wheels off.

Aside from that I wonder about whatever advice he needs from Dom concerns… he should know his XOs cold.

I would think a mentor could help more with things like how to handle problems with his staff, with his boss, issues with players, more stuff like that than XO stuff.

I was shocked Rob Chudzinski got a head coaching job, Evero has been knocking on the door of becoming a head coach for a few seasons

Hey I’m pulling for the guy. Hope gets another job and moves tomorrow. I just don’t see it happening.

I think it’s because of who he has coached under. Raheem Morris, Dom Capers, Vic Fangio

Why’s dom capers still on our payroll when he was at GB they’d won numerous super bowls if he would have had an even adequate defense they couldn’t stop anyone. Don’t know why he gets some sorta defensive savant treatment   Or Jim Caldwell for that matter either

He was known for his defense in Pittsburgh in 90s and then a decent one with Jacksonville after we let him go. His defense in Green Bay was top 5 the first couple of years but it fell off the rest of his time.
