The Pro Bowl is Unwatchable

OMG just zipped through this years pro bowl broadcast

Even at ludicrous speed, it was unwatchable.

And completely not what the last few years in Orlando were. THOSE were fun, with the Mannings coaching against each other. Skills challenges, tug o war, weight sled racing, a few flag football skirmishes just because.

Orlando was entertaining.  The mess for this year? Why bother

Ugh

They're gonna have to do something.  Viewership fell off a cliff. Down 60% from last year. Less than 2 million people watched it. For reference, the least watched regular season game in modern NFL history was a 2018 Thursday night blowout between the Broncos and Cardinals still drew over 9 million viewers.

The Pop Tart Bowl had a better marketing and on-field execution (literal and figurative) team

Yeah, and it drew nearly 9 million viewers. The Game Above Sports Bowl between Northwestern and Eastern Michigan was the least watched toilet bowl and still outperformed the Pro Bowl by half a million viewers. LOL

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
