Not unexpected: Panthers raise season ticket prices

Recommended Posts

Quote

The “overall blended ticket price” refers specifically to the average increase of all ticket pricing after taking into account every section of the stadium. Some seats, like some in the upper bowls, won’t experience that high of pricing increases; others will experience more than 12%.

For the most affordable seats, for instance, the increase is only $8 per game — from $510 to $590.

Unsure how "most affordable" is written to refer to the $500 seats.

surely Tepper is going to follow suit on the other F- field conditions teams and improve the playing surface with real grass right?

he’s not going to spend all this money on free agents and risk a non contact injury on his green Taylor swift plastic surely?

Not sure if it's related to the playoff game or just the rampant inflation that is occurring in our country. Curious how much the prices for other teams changed.

Packers increasing from $4 to $22 per game
Saints staying the same
Patriots are increasing "a little more than 7%"
Bears increase 13.5%
Lions staying the same-ish
Dolphins staying the same

one wonders how much money Dave is really saving with turf fields when he has to spend nearly $200 million dollars on the first day of free agency to, in part, free himself up to target a position he already had locked down on the roster until his turf monster destroyed the guy’s knee

And also curious how much the "cheap" seats will increase percentage wise. I feel like when they had the 6% increase last year, it was only like 1% or something for the upper level

percentages can be misleading.

a 5% change for a $100 ticket is a $5 difference, but it's $25 for a $500 ticket

but a $5 change to a $50 dollar ticket is a 10% increase.    It's still a $5 increase, but people who look just at the percentage could scream about the higher percentage number vs other seats

Season tickets aren't affordable anymore definitely when they've been so bad for 8 years before last season. When I started going my seats were front row uppers for like 38 bucks. Those seats are 100 dollars now. Teams make their money from tv, if I was an owner my goal would be to break even on tickets and concessions.

I've never had season tickets but always tried to make 1 home game / year. I haven't been since the steelers game in 22, their fans completely took over "The Bank".  Not having a winning season and rising costs are a big part of that.

Merch sales

The packers team store is huge, and makes a ton of money.   Easily at least 10x the size of the dinky Panthers store at BoA

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
