Yeah, but Hubert has made this whole saga petty by the way he reacted thru it all and holding the process up, I wouldn't put it past him. Lol i was really just making a joke. But Will Wade is leaving State for LSU.

He was petty because he wasn't going to just quit because they wanted him to? Sack up and fire him if that's what you want to do.

He was petty by the actions that happened after the season ended and the way he handled things when he realized it was the end. Carolina brass was trying to give him dignity and grace with his exit because of all the flack they got with the way the Mack situation happened. He's a Tar Heel thru and thru, or at least he used to be, but he will always be one in my eyes.

It has been reported that they offered him the buyout even if he resigned, in which case yes, they were giving him an option to save some face publicly with none of the downside. I also am not surprised he didn’t take the option and don’t hold it against him. This was his dream job, I wouldn’t quit my dream job either.

A lot of the older coaches are retiring a bit more prematurely than in years past and I get it. This new era with the whole NIL and transfer portal deals has completely changed the nature of the job. They have plenty if money so if they don't want to evolve to fit the new model, fug it just retire. I get it.
