Only a year away from an upgrade. Still plenty to be excited about.

Agree.  Mostly defense.  We still can’t win a shootout as a rule, so having a defense to keep us out of them is the best thing we could do.
Looking forward to seeing them gel

2003 bye week was week 3.

2015 bye week was week 5.

Not an excuse. May work out that the team needs an early break to reset or make changes.

If someone key is hurt and your bye week helps you by not forcing you to play without them, it is at a good time.
No way to know about that ahead of time.
I would concede that with 17 games and let’s say you are playoff bound, you would love to have it late

I can see 4-2 in the south, one team will drop off and we split the others.

But even finding 4 wins in the rest is hard, and that is if we actually improve.

I guess we can limp to a wildcard again with some lucky bounces, but da..

Bryce sets the all time Panthers passing record against the Falcons last year and of course logically the fanbase predicts he loses so badly against them for some reason next year that he's benched. Incredible fans, the envy of the league.

He's had 2 career games in a dome against the Falcons. Is there a specific reason you would rather not discuss the other 44?

Idk if this has been posted but seems fairly relevant given the discussion of how tough our schedule is.

It was:

it was also talked about at the end of the season when the teams were finalized, that barring any International travel we knew we had an easy Eastern/Central time zone travel config compared to other teams

Will be slightly similar next year, based on the schedule rotation (and again, barring being the Away team at an International game)

2027 AWAY opponents
Atlanta Falcons
Dallas Cowboys
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
NFC West TBD    <-- this will be our longest flight
AFC East TBD

2028 our travel stat goes to hell.  We should be hosting a home game in Germany (per the original International rotation press release, tho' things may have changed since then)

Plus we have two road games in LA and one in Seattle.
