Narrative still is different for some. That view it like you just laid out. Getting off the glass half full wagon and realizing that is kind of a nice sounding way of saying you are a half short of a full glass, produces a different take.

No, but we did overpay a guy who should be fighting to hang onto a roster spot in the league in order to pretend like he's an actual viable backup seemingly to ensure Bryce feels no pressure breathing down his neck from his backup - pressure we absolutely should've been trying to create this year.

Yet I bet you he still is able to pressure him. I guess it depends on your bottom line evaluation of what Bryce is. In my opinion he is low hanging fruit for anyone with even a D game.

Just objectively speaking, Pickett has been considerably worse than Bryce. His TD production is Pickles level. He's every bit as arm talent limited as Bryce and isn't as good operating out of structure.

He's even or worse than Bryce in practically every category other than looking the part from a height/weight perspective. It's hard to find an NFL QB that's truly objectively shittier than Bryce virtually across the board but damn if we didn't pull it off.

At least Grier is on an appropriate contract. Pickett is roughly the same caliber player but we have to pay him like he's legit and tout him as a former (idiotic) 1st round pick so that we can pretend we made a real effort to upgrade our QB room.

Well if you are gonna put it like that I probably would have to agree with you.  We’ll see how it goes. I am kind of rooting for seeing some Picket this year just for a change up. I root for a change up every year though lately.

Lol a full beer you find the morning after. And you thin’ you can drink it, but find it has a cigarette butt in it. Yum.
Adulthood cheapness taught me that sans cigarette butt pour half of it in with a fresh cold one and don’t think too hard about it lol.

I don't care what they rank him, but what Dan has done for the fans is nothing short of amazing.  Going from the biggest dumpster fire in all of sports with the worst owner and the worst roster to being relevant again, is amazing.  Time will tell if he can take the team to the next level.

I’ll give him that. I love his belief in the trenches being where games are decided. Because that is also my belief.

 And he is not fooling around he jumps all over a goal. Fix the OL. Well it cost but he fixed it.  And fixed it again this year while still getting pieces for the defense. 
He has made a couple of mistakes but just keeps swinging after a miss until he gets something done.
