Top 2 WRs in NFL: Roddy White and Brandon Lloyd

Smitty wasnt good enough to be in the top ten last year. Clausen or not.

yep

I will say that while Roddy White is good, anyone that doesn't put Andre Johnson/Fitz as #1/#2(order doesn't matter, as far as I'm concerned it's 1a and 1b) probably doesn't watch Texans/Cardinals games.

i am calling bullshit on this......there is no way in hell brandon lloyd is more talented than smitty....put smith in that pass happy system and he would lead the league in yards too

Fitzgerald isn't top 2 without Kurt Warner and Boldin. Johnson still takes #1 imo. Roddy White is a falcon and therefore can't be good.

Smith can't make anyones top 10 without a QB.

Fitzgerald put up 90 receptions, 1,137 yards, and 6 touchdowns with a quarterback situation comparable to ours. He runs the best routes and has the best hands in the NFL.

Andre and Fitz are 1a, 1b.

No he didn't. HUGE difference between Smitty working w/ a bum like Moore and complete slop in Clausen.

Smitty had decent production in 2010 and 2009 with Moore. Very good production actually. Non existant w/ Clausen. Fitz did not have a comparable QB as Clausen.

Best WRs in the NFL are Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson. Some may have better seasons or get the ball more....but those two imo are the best.

The Cardinals had over 700 more passing yards then us. No experienced WR in the league had to go through what Smith did last year, or even the year before.

Smith hasn't really had much in his favor his whole career here, save the playaction/run game. He doesn't get many of the luxuries the other top 10 WRs do.

you guys realize who the Cardinals had at QB right? QB rating was a whole 3 points higher than ours(60 QB rating) with ONE more touchdown and two MORE interceptions.

they had Derek Anderson, Max Hall, John Skelton, and some random backup. Andre Johnson had Matt Schaub..

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
