Because Dareus is a guy who has consistently played good throughout his college career. Fairley had a better season(different schemes played a huge role in that) but was a one hit wonder.

Peterson is my first choice, but wouldn't be disappointed at all if we took Dareus.

Dareus has been my pick all along. Dude is a hoss. And he is big enough to play the NT when we show a 3-4 look. Something that, IMO, Fairley could not do.
