Dameyune Craig

That explains how he went on to huge levels of success after leaving us. He had stints in the arena league, CFL, and of course, 31 other NFL teams declined to give him a "fair shot". Go figure.

but...but...but....he is in the Hall of Fame.

I'll admit it. I was fishing with Craig. He is not a pure passing QB and he didn't succeed in the NFL. What makes any of you think Newton will?

Newton is better....just a wild guess.

I agree 100%, but his passing yardage doesn't say so.

I'm thinking if Manning hadn't made that amazing comeback in the SEC championship game, Craig wins the national title. Crazy how things pan out.

What makes you think he won't? Your argument is just as shaky as the Pro-Newton peeops

Name a QB who is known for their rushing yardage, rather than throwing that has won a superbowl? Won an NFC/AFC championship game? Has sustained a successful NFL career?

Craig isn't a good comparison. He threw a lot, put up pretty decent yards but didn't have a high completion rate. He wasn't really a rushing QB at all.

I agree again, although he was often compared to Kordell Stewart back in the day. Maybe it was a "black" thing.

    • If I remember correctly, we thought Jerry Jones was going to take Brooks so we traded up to take him. I wanted Frazier, no secret there, but we also needed an edge rusher, LB, safety, CB, pretty much everything other than DB and Horn. That's why I said we could have addressed a pass catching RB in FA if that's what it was thought Bryce needed to be successful. Even if it was a 1 year contract, there's always another available the next year. Rico is a perfect example. We just had too many long term holes to fill, especially on defense, to use that pick on an injured RB. Like I said, I get the logic of why and the likely mandate from Tepper, which is an entirely different problem with an owner dictating how a GM needs to build the team, and then is that GM really qualified or just a front guy. But when you look at the rest of the team, even if Brooks was 100%, we had just too many damn holes and we had already spent a chunk of our FA cap on Hunt and Lewis, and a 1st on XL. At some point Bryce has to elevate the players around him if he's going to be the guy.
    • They seem to be one of the deeper teams in the league already
