played NFL ball and he has announced and studied NFL ball

for a long time. You have to give credence to what he says.

No, I dont. I preferred Tony Kornhole to him in the booth. I respect Marino's, TJ's, numerous other players opinions over Collinsworth. Sunday Night Football is painful to watch because of him.

Seriously? You don't respect Collingsworth's football opinions but you do respect Korney? That guy knows nothing about football and his voice is terrible for the job. All he did was ramble on about celebrities and dancing with the freakin stars.

Point being, Kornhole was more of an annoucer than Collinsworth. Didn't mean that he knew football but he brought fun to the booth, but in the same time he brought pointless celebrity comments. Collinsworth doesn't have the voice and is stale. Al Michaels is bland and Collinsworth is even more so. What made Madden and Michaels a good team was the nice balance that Madden brought keeping it light, while also knowing the game.

Gruden does that on MNF by keeping it light and being in-depth. Gruden would be far better than Collinsworth with Michaels. Tirico and Jaws could handle Monday Nights.

I stopped watching football when he did games

He treated it like his show PTI, which I like, but it just didn't work for games. Always trying to talk over people, make stupid jokes, talk about things that don't matter. Basically it was the same as Teeray's posts.
