Panthers visiting with Cam...

Why do we have to be trading down? The majority of our history under Hurney has been trading UP. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he has some cockamamie scheme for us to score two first-round picks even if we have to give up next year's first-rounder in the process. That's par for the course for Marty Hurney.

Yep, next season when there are 3 franchise QB's all better than Newton available in the top 10 of the draft, we will be stuck with Newton. With no 1st rounder because Hurney mortgages the future.

Huge Cam Jordan fan here ever since he blew up the practices at the Senior Bowl. He could not be blocked that week and I was surprised that most mocks didn't increase his stock much after that. He has been projected between 10 & 18 pretty much this whole year.

How in the hell can the Panthers just decide to trade down? Unless somebody has already made an offer that they can't refuse, there is no way that is possible.

You are spot on.. maybe someone offered them a package for the top pick, and they are highly considering it, thus, them contacting Cam Jordan.

Cam Jordan would play DE in our scheme, and would play the 5tech in our dime packages.. so he has a ton of versatility, and has excellent value in that regard.

This makes me think we are open to trading down.. pretty far. Maybe with the Redskins at #10.

Most experts don't project moving up or down more than 3 or 4 spots at the top. It gets too costly otherwise. With no clear number one we are going to look at possibly trading partners but might not find any great suitors. After all if we hold out, other folks below us will be glad to trade for less.

We need DTs noot DEs. We are not trading down. The sooner you guys accept that, the less painful draft day will be.
