Our best potential trading partner?

The Vikings maybe?

They seem in desperate need of a QB. They pick 12th. There are several teams ahead of them with legitimate QB needs...

3 Bills

4 Bengals

5 Cardinals

7 49ers

8 Titans

10 Redskins

With so many teams taking considerations on drafting a QB in what is described as a very weak QB draft, the odds of the Vikings being able to get a QB is nearly impossible. They just may be desperate enough to make a move all of the way to the top.

I see them or the Titans being the best bet. The titans have 9 draft picks to trade with.

8 would be nice. 12? is that too low?

yeah, 12 is deep. I would only hope that the Vikings move to take a QB would spark a run of QB's, 3 maybe even 4 taken in session which would leave a bunch of talent for us at 12. How cool would it be for PP or Fairley (who was just mentioned at 8) to drop to 12. Personally, I like the Titans better at 8. We could get a great impact player and also pick up a 2nd.

Kolb doesn't fit our offense.

Why are people so enamored with Kolb? I've seen very little that leads me to believe he can do anything outside of Reid's WCO.

He's shown exactly the same thing that Matt Moore has, if not less. I don't understand it either.

I think they trade with Sanfran, they have done so in the past, Sanfran needs a qb, Buffalo likes Gabbert so they wont bite for a trade for Cam, Denver already has a qb controversey, Cincy wants a vet if Palmer retires, Arizona wants a vet as to not piss off Larry, And Cleveland, well they got their qb last year in Mcoy. I guarentee, if Carolina trades, it will be with Sanfran, for their #7, their 2nd rounder pick, and the first of their 4th round picks.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
