Of course they were drafted by the Colts. How is drafting good players not "equipping Manning with players"

They couldn't bring in free agents because they had to pay Manning and that collection of awesome players they drafted.

And yeah none of those receivers or runningbacks were any good even though it's mostly made up of consensus first round picks and Faulk went on to have a hall of fame career in St. Louis.

Really? No body wanted a 36 year old Marvin Harrison and that proves Peyton never played with a good offensive player? No it proves that Harrison was old and had just lit up Philly.

The Colts front office has done a great job the last 10 plus years of keeping talent on the team. Best ever? No. But still way above league average.

And sorry about that Dallas Clark, God forbid I get one name wrong on the incredibly long list of players that disproves your point.

What is your point anyway? We would do a better job of surrounding Peyton with talent? The Colts front office is comically inept? You want Peyton to the point of making stuff up?

Actually, all I wanted to know is if the trade was possible, would anyone make the trade in the original post.

The rest is just entertaining.

If the players win then there are no franchise tags and Payton is a free agent, so YES there is a fuging way he can leave.

We all know he will go to Dallas for the biggest contract in history, with Adrian Peterson following in a year or two as Dallas buys a perinial superbowl champion

How's that possible? no franchise tags? Does that mean the players have to pay back the money they've already received?

the players are going to court to keep the previous CBA intact which has franchise tags, I thought.

      TBH, if there's one place there should be an overabundance of humor is any conversation about the Panthers or the Hornets. Otherwise, I'd think some are just taking the game way too seriously.

      I mean, 40 year olds that grew up on other teams.....simply aren't the same as people that were passed down a team for generations in their family.  When I was kid, my favorite player was Darrell Greene.  Because my team was the Skins.  If the Panthers suck, I can just watch the NFL at large.  It is what it is.  I adopted the Panthers because they were the local team.  The Panthers and the Browns simply aren't going to have the same fanbases right now.  Shouldn't be expected.  And most of the real purchasing power is with people who didn't grow up with the Panthers.  The money isn't with a 19 year olds.  and if the Hurricanes were less successful, people wouldn't be hyping the Raleigh fanbase as much.  But I can concede that is slightly different, as hockey isn't big in the south so most in the area haven't switched over from other teams.  It's their introduction to the sport.  Which makes hockey a little unique as sport.  If you have Raleigh a random MLB team that sucked......I don't that folks could get away with claiming Raliegh fans are "built different" than Charlotte folks.
