Possible impending steroid story...

...based on this item from Denver TV reporter Josina Anderson (link).

Just heard federal agents raided an athletic training facility in Florida this am where NFL/CFL players and college prospects train.

A raid of an athletic facility likely points to a steroid or drug story to come. Who it might ensnare is unknown.

(hope no Panther players are workout iout in Florida right now)

at least Beason, Stewart, Johnson, and Brown are working out in FL right now at the same place. A lot of NFL guys workout on the facility they are at.....Welker, OchoCinco, etc.

Guys, there is more than 1 athletic facility in Florida. Calm your asses down. It would be one thing if you knew a bunch of Panthers that trained in, say, Rhode Island and there was a raid in a facility in Rhode Island.

Add that even if they were at that facility, it doesn't mean our guys were doing anything wrong. I would be interested to see what facility was raided. Anyone have a follow-up.

Follow up (PFT)

A press release said the indictment included conspiracy and wire fraud.

A quick perusal of All-Star Sports’ poorly updated website reveals relatively limited NFL connections. The facility does offer an NFL Combine training program for college athletes.

Looks like this one may not hit anyone much in the pros, but may not some college guys (maybe some potential draftees).

Their site has a link indicating some shoestring connection to Florida State.

Seriously people... wtf. He smarter than 95% of the people on this site.

Beason ain't that smart......he got baited into punching out that Frye kid at a strip club.

    • 339. WR Moose Muhammad III, Texas A&M Muhammad, the son of former NFL wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad II, is adept at using his body to keep coverage defenders away from the ball. He generated a 119.8 passer rating when targeted in 2024, ranking 25th in the draft class. 255. WR Kobe Hudson, UCF Hudson brings point guard-like movement to the receiver position and makes for a fun watch due to his short-area quickness. But his limited long speed and questionable catch rate likely make him a mid-round projection. 183. DI Jared Harrison-Hunte, SMU Harrison-Hunte is an intriguing prospect to develop, considering he has the frame to fill out and flashes very good athleticism (4.86-second 40-yard dash, 1.69-second 10-yard split). He needs to improve his pad level, but he uses his athleticism effectively to defeat blocks at the line of scrimmage, posting 44 pressures with eight sacks in 2024. 171. G Luke Kandra, Cincinnati Kandra's athleticism and measured approach to the game give him the floor of a solid zone scheme backup and an average starter's ceiling. The end result will depend on his ability to play with better pad level and flexibility.
