I know there is already a thread about what if Peppers plays for us, will fans still wear his jersey.

That is weak sauce though.

If Peppers does end up being a Panther this year, what are all you bitter folks going to do? Still be uptight bitter folks? Just curious. Lots of things can change within a year.

As of right now he does not want to be part of this team so he can go fug himself.....if it were to somehow work out where he remains a Panther I hope that comes back and dominates for us. I wont be a "fanboy" of his but thats besides the point.

Forgive but never forget....

While the possibility of him being traded is there...

I also know the possibility of him playing for us this next year, is there too.

With him, our defense will be better, without a doubt. He'll also have to continue to play hard to keep his value up.

I am a Panther fan, and I have no ill will towards Peppers. If he plays for us, I will continue to show support as a Panther fan.

I was just curious with all the hate that is around here...and there is a lot ~ how many people would continue to stew about it.

I doubt it happens and not because of anything Pep has said, it's more about the money. I believe Hurney will do his best to get that nearly 17 million off the books.

The only way I see Pep staying is if they get a deal done which regardless of what's been said could happen if Peppers suddenly realizes his market value isn't what he thought.

If a deal can't be reached I believe Marty will ship him off for what ever he can get

    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
