Cam on Frank and Moose

Recommended Posts

I know for a fact Brees is leading one for the Saint @ Tulane, and Romo is leading one for the Cowboys. Flacco is leading one for the Ravens too I saw that on ESPN. Eli Manning is leading team workouts for the Giants. And the Cardinals are holding their own workouts. Those are the only ones for a fact that I know are going on, their may be others.

Yet u said TEAM workouts.

Big difference.

you can't expect Cam to try to lead an offseason workout. That is just silly.

Agree, I would expect guys like Gross or Beason to step up and organize players-only workouts... it's not Cam's place to do that at this point.

After watching Cam at Auburn, I can guarantee that it is killing him that he can't work out with the team yet. At Auburn he pushed team mates continuously. He has a great work ethic and he is in love with playing the game.

The other thing about Cam's attitude regarding money, at Auburn, his transportation was a used scooter that cost a few hundred $s. He was way too big for it and he looked hilarious riding around campus on it but that's all his family could afford. Cam knew that other marquis players at certain other universities (ahem) were driving new cars like Escalade, Camaro, Chargers, etc. (that their families obviously could not afford . . .) He didn't care one bit, he just kept driving that rattle trap scooter with a big smile on his face most of the time and whipping their butts on the football field. So guess what? A bunch of other Auburn players who couldn't afford cars bought old used scooters to ride around on just like Cam. What does that tell you about how his team mates view Cam Newton? I am telling you, the Panthers have picked a winner and great kid. :D

I really like the fact that he seems to be forging a mentor relationship with Moose... Moose was a consummate pro who played this game at a high level for a LONG time and if Cam is willing to listen, Moose will lay all kinds of invaluable knowledge on him.

His relationship with Moose may also be the bridge to form a good relationship with Smitty. Smitty looks up to Moose and Moose's endorsement of Cam would go a long way with Smitty.

Every time I hear this kid talk I'm more convinced we made the right move.

Yep, Gross or Kalil need to step up. Cam should join any offers to throw.....Cam has already made it clear he isn't going to foolishly try to lead before it is time.

i finally just listened to it.

His tone completely changes from when he's talking about football and when he's talking about himself.

When speaking about football he's more confident, more sure of himself, doesn't stutter, and really sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Other than that he sounds like some goofy kid.

Him and DeAngelo are going to be best fwends

    • I've already posted this but I think it's worth repeating here: "To me, that's an insult to Horn but that's besides the point. Against the Dolphins, the Panthers faced a 4-5 with 3:31 left in the game. Bryce hit Horn for a 17 yrd completion picking up the 4th down and leading to a score for the win." So what was wrong with using Horn on that down given they had done it before - with success? It just seems to me people are trying to belittle Horn just to make Young look bad. I can understand you not liking Young, and don't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure I can understand insulting another player just to make something fit your narrative.
