That's not allowed around here, since you're new I won't ban you.

Cam already has a bust in Canton, get that thru your thick skull. :cam:

Thank you. I'd hate to be banned already. I'll just wear my dunce hat and go to the corner. :hat:

He can't show how valuable he really is without a QB to throw to him. I know we are all excited to see what Cam can do, myself included in that, the realist knows the majority of the time a rookie QB doesn't come in and light it up right away. The odds are against Smitty being able to return to form here in Carolina this year. He has no proven QB right now.

That's not a slight against Cam, JC, Pike, or Moore. It's just the truth.

i don't think the new offensive philosophy will allow for him to completely show what he's capable still. there won't be anymore stud feeding. they are going to be spreading the ball around. he wouldn't be getting 100+ receptions, thats for sure. he might get 80 but i wouldn't expect much more of that, and that is regardless of who is throwing the ball.

lafell, gettis, and shockey will also be getting a lot of targets, esp. lafell and gettis and they'll also be trying to get edwards and the volcano in as much as possible as well.

I'm kind of already over Smitty, and for me it wasn't all that hard.

Smitty is the competitive type of player that will most likley be on a couple more teams. You use up this kind of player and trade him (moss, owens). He's good but he doesn't improve your team in all areas, he isn't a character type guy.

Beason for instance, is a player you want locked up (r. lewis) until he poos in a pan cause he will still fire up the team. He helps in all areas. If Smitty was more...humble like say Hines Ward, I'd say lock him up, while their playing styles are similar Smitty's character is more the likes of Moss and Owens. They need to be out there competing, not teaching or learning or trying to influence the team.

No. Post hot girls in the Lovely Ladies thread to redeem yourself.:D

While I did look for hot girls to post in the Lovely Ladies forum, I decided to be selfish and keep them for my personal um use. Besides, I think the Lovely Ladies category has a clothing requirement and none of the women I found pictures of seemed to want to wear any.

Mick Mixon was just on 95.7 FM here on the west coast doing an interview about Smitty wanting to go to either the Chargers..................or the Raiders? If he wants to go to SD I understand the reasons. But dumping one ugly chick for another is kinda weird. I'm going to try and find a link to the interview.

IDK if they are using Mixon as a source but Sports Illustrated is reporting the same thing. Trade him to the Raiders maybe we can get a treasure trove in return.

    • I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
    • I'm not sure 19 is too high for Rodriguez anymore.  He looks to be moving up boards, but it could be smokescreens.
    • I see XL this way---great athlete.  Good person.  When we drafted him, we knew he was raw.  One year of WR in college (starting) and in HS, he was a QB, I believe. We knew we would need patience with him.  I think year 3 will be make or break.  He is older, and I think that people with his athletic ability have always been better than those with less---but those with less can become more successful.  Why is that?  in my view, it is mental. XL can learn the mechanics and nuances of playing WR if he becomes focused on it and works at it.  I had the opportunity to talk to Armanti Edwards one day after OTAs (great guy) and he discussed how overwhelming it was.  He seemed shocked.  At that time, I knew that Fox hated the pick (I heard him mock Armanti to another coach when he saw Edwards drop a punt from a jugs machine--then I saw Armanti look back at Fox as if to suggest that he was feeling the pressure to please the coach. We forget that these are kids in their early 20s.  At the time, Fox was a lame duck.  Remember when he had Clausen as the #3 QB and was forced to move him up the ladder?  I liked Fox, but I think the climate and culture was influenced by the politics.  Currently, I see another Wr from SC who is struggling, but he is ina  very nurturing, positive culture. Let's see what happens with XL.  I am frustrated too---but XL was a second round talent who was raw and we traded up to get him.  He had 500 yards as a rookie--lets call 2025 a sophomore slump and see if we can't get at least 50 yards per game out of him.  If not, cut bait.
