Beason's civil trial starts today

This is why you don't hang out at strip clubs. What a waste of time. Beason is a pro athlete so has a considerable level of fame and is rich. It can't be that hard to get a girl to hook up with.

Strip clubs are pathetic imo but that's for another discussion.

The story I got was he was basically following Beas and his boys around the club for a while yelling...."racial slurs" toward Beason and his friends. Seems like Beason pretty much put up with it for a while until one of his friends decided he wanted to intervene and tell the guy to stfu. The coke thing I guess came from that whenever they confronted him.

from what I heard Frye was at Uptown Cabaret, started telling people he was a tight end for the Panthers, then wasn't too happy when he drunkenly went up to Jon Beason who of course had no idea who he was.

A few hours later he was still at this bar for some reason, and when he saw Beason walking out he followed him calling him a dumb ****** and talking about the time he did cocaine.

Then some random ass black dude just laid him out.

When he came to he made up a story about Beason.

The version I've heard before the whole mess started is that Frye was doing his I'm a panther, I just signed here this week routine at some other bar earlier in the night to impress some girls. One of the girls he was chatting up was hanging out in a group of friends with Dante Rosario at the same bar and had never heard of Frye, so she had Frye come over to their table. She didn't tell Frye that Rosario played for the Panthers, and Frye had no idea who he was so he continued to tell his stories. Strangely enough, Rosario didn't say anything the whole time about Frye not being a Panther. Apparently Rosario got a call from Beason who said he was hanging out at Uptown Cabaret and Frye decided to further his coolness by claiming that Beason is crazy and was doing coke in Lake Norman. When they all went to Uptown, Rosario told Beason what Frye said and that's when the confrontation happened.

Any of those is plausible.

kicking him in the balls is a bitch move, i would try to knock his punk ass out like Beason did.

You're missing the public service aspect of it (i.e. trying to be sure he doesn't reproduce).

I just consider it karma for him almost burning our fraternity house 10 years ago. He was a douche then and never realized he was kept around for a while because he was a walking joke. He use to carry around travel sized lotion bottles (he called it beat cream) in case he was macking on a girl to try to convince her to give him a "root pull." True stories. I'm still pissed over a sorority mixer that got shut down because some girl came downstairs screaming he wouldn't leave her alone and was trying to force himself on her. He ruined a lot of damn good times before he got booted out. He wasn't changed one bit in 10 years. He just wants some publicity and money since his own father finally cut him off. He really does probably need mental help. He threatened to sue the national

fraternity after we kicked him out too. Pathetic- he's about to be 0-2 on the lawsuits. I really can't believe he still shows his face around Charlotte in public.

This is the image I had of him after hearing his rap song.

He told jurors that Beason wanted to hit Frye but didn't. "He was mad as hell," Laughrun said. "He wanted to sack him like (Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback) Ben Roethlisberger."

Beason's attorney isn't really smart. Don't allude to Ben Rapistberger in your opening statements.

Except all the naked girls.

Seriously what are you talking about? I think I'd be more worried if he was going to strip clubs in the middle of the day. Because that would be f'in weird.

Strip clubs late at night = trouble. How many pro athletes have gotten in trouble hanging out at strip clubs late. If he wants to see naked women - order in, he certainly has the money. I get sick and tired of these famous athletes not using their head. How many news stories do we have to read about some athlete getting in trouble for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Simple answer is don't be at those places; especially late into the night. And hiring body guards or a posse is not the answer because an athlete is responsible for their actions.

Take your millions of dollars and act like you have sense!

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
