Does Charlotte possess enough swag?

The Nfl is alot different from other sports in which player can become stars and get marketing deals no matter where they play. Greenbay not a big Market but Brett Farve became a star without playing in NY or LA. Peyton HIllis is on the cover of madden and he plays in "CLeveland". Stars in football are made by winning no matter where they play.

Usually people base it on the size of the media market (how many people are buying newspapers and watching tv in a certain area).

This is the current tv market rankings by nielsen. We are a mid-market team at #24, but we pull in a lot of smaller markets in the area like Greenville-Spartanburg and the triad. The smallest market in the NFL is Greenbay at #75, but Milwaukee brings up their veiwership at #35

Well, you guys did pick up a few hundred thousand extra viewers by drafting Cam. Not only AU fans, but bama fans are obssessed by Cam also and will tune in. Hell, I bet the Panthers jump a spot or two (or more) just based on additional viewers in the state of Alabama.

I was hoping that by drafting Cam most Auburn fans would become Panthers fans since the great state of Alabama doesn't have an NFL team (which is a shame when cities like Jacksonville do).

Well a minority portion of the state has (the better half). The other half (the one you don't want) will probably be anti-Panther.

Anyway, I'm been in Miami for several years but lived in Atlanta after college and never really adopted an NFL team since I had no reason to except living there. For the first time I am really going to be a fan of a team (whether I am wanted or not).

So now I'm ready for the lockout to end so Cam can start really doing what he needs to do and I can follow the Panthers in free agency.

I don't think you understand how to use quotes.

Why is Cleveland in quotes but Greenbay(whatever that is), NY, and LA are not?

Is Cleveland not a real place?

Why the fug do you care? Shouldn't you be packing for Miami, Seattle or Washington. To be with you lord Matty?

Yes if we keep our SWAG level at a very high percentage, see our swag level saw a huge decline with the departure of Julius Peppers. Now with Cam here our SWAG level is rising at a growing rate.

Players are players. Players end up wanting out of Chicago, LA, Boston and New York. We will see how Cam fares in Charlotte. A better and more interesting question is 'Could Charlotte support an MLB team'?

I would love to see an MLB team in Charlotte.
