This is me venting (somewhat long)

I've seen my dad scrap at least 6 times for similar situations. Some dude was hammered drunk and called his best friend the N word at a high school basketball game and when he was asked to leave by nearly everyone he threw a KT like fit then swung on my dad, my dad knocked him down 15 flights of stairs then carried him out of the gym to a standing ovation.

Someone called my aunt a cotton headed ninny muggin at a football passing tournament? He had the man on his knees in the parking lot apologizing in front of 300+ people.

My dad is 6'5" 290lbs of solid muscle. He's the one that got me into fighting in the first place and he's the one who taught me respect and morals.

I promise you he would whoop my ass like only a father could.

Are you talking about Bill Brasky? I know Bill Brasky!

Wow. Glad you are okay TRD. I wouldn't ever find myself in that situation, but if I did, I could only hope a guy as brave as you would come to my rescue.

Plus you have pretty much turned on your girlfriend/fiancee.....well, forever.:coolgleamA:

Congrats!

If I went on a date with you I'd totally hire a pair of actors to simulate some sort of domestic abuse incident so that I could wade in and save the day (and reap the benefits).

Yes, I'm devious. :D

The world would be a better place if people started doing the right thing and I am not going to be someone to let fear or the actions of others bring me down to their level. I will always stand strong in my beliefs and deal with the consequences because I don't want to look myself in the mirror every day and be ashamed of the man I am.

That interesting because I think that getting involved in a violent altercation is stooping down to their level. I believe if the woman's life was in danger or getting raped then its a different story. But, If you feel like putting your life in danger and the lifelong happiness of your fiance to stop some white trash couple from hitting each other then thats your thing.

I would make the argument that the right thing would be to get the cops involved, and not be a vigilante who, in my opinion, made a bad situation worse. Just think, before you got involved, it was a guy hitting a woman. After, it was 2 men almost getting killed, one with couple dozen stab wounds, and getting run over by a car. It could have very easily been, a one guy getting beat up then putting a bullet in a mans head.

What if you had a kid? Do you think you would have reacted differently?

I would rather have my father, who did not jump into a strangers fight. Than grow up without my dad, who wanted to stop a random guy for hitting a random girl. If you dont know these people, this woman could have told the man that she was going to kill his children, or that she had a gun and was going to shoot him.

I am not trying to berate you for you doing what you think was right, I am just saying this type of stuff can change peoples live and their family's lives for the worse when they get involved with random people. Dont get me wrong, hitting a woman is wrong in almost every single instance, but a child growing up without a dad, or a wife losing her husband, is much worse than a domestic abuse. I dont think you have children, but what if you did.

I know, I am gonna get flamed for this.

    • I am trying to remember when I EVER said reach for need. My thing if someone falls you jump, if you can trade back a few slots and get help at the right value and pick up some ammo to move up from 51 which I think is outside the money zone, then you do that.   Take a WR later. Plenty of capable WRs have come from the 3rd round. Though this year I would go for C there if there was a reasonable choice. Take a TE if you must. I see more reason to take WR than TE. I think you give guys drafted two years ago and last year a chance to develop before cancelling them.    I think it is kind of unrealistic to throw everything all in on offense in hopes of going deep in the playoffs after an 8-10 year, even if it did have some nice bright spots in it.    And outside of this argument but relevant to it, I am bothered by Canales and Morgan and their apparent posture that we have arrived and are now in the big boy club. I don’t know where that comes from. They are out there talking like they are winners at 8-10. Backing into the playoffs in a real convoluted tie breaker scenario. They had some good games, yes. But the big feather n the cap, the LA Rams matchups, did you see what the Rams did? They didn’t fire the coaches but they fired their defensive backs. Bryce beat them yes, and it was pretty, but it was kind of like the Bucs and Mike Evans picking on our decimated secondary in 2022. Someone (Wilks) went down for allowing that to happen and they went down in LA too.  Wr aren’t as good as a whole lot of homers think we are. Shore up the trenches.    I think too many fans buy into it because they are so starved for anything that looks like a winner.
    • How exactly does one win OROY "by default"? Wouldn't winning the award mean that of the two, McMillon stayed strong the entire year while the other guy didn't and fizzled out? That's like saying Secretariat only won by default because the other horse stopped moving midway through the race. Absolutely zero logic in that statement, which makes me very glad that I've never really paid much attention to Walterfoozball.
    • I agree, teams in the past have fired the HC in order to retain a coach on staff...hell it happened to Mcderp this year, rams in the past and Im missing another.  The fall off for the Panthers team defense was huge once Mcderp leftd and Ron could not fix it even when he named himself DC.
