Ray Lewis speaks on Lockout

Recommended Posts

Ray Lewis just further proves the stupidity of the NFL players in general. Sure there are exceptions but on the average they are dumb asses.

If Ray wants crime to go down, call for a removal of the NFLPA executives including Dbag Smith and get a new crew in there to get to the table and sign a deal. There, problem solved and America is safe again!

I don't think the crime rate will go up because it doesn't actually occupy your time like a hobby. I think he's using the more valid example how kids not playing sports going bad. Watching and playing football are too different things. I have 0 qualms about doing something else while taping a regular season game because watching football isn't very productive or meaningful.

Yeah, I think that's probably what he meant, and I think Ray's a well meaning guy, but not the best spokesman for NFL players. Or anyone, for that matter. That was pretty bad.

I would love to see you Idiots that mock Ray Lewis do it in front of Jon Beason. You don't think his number has ANY correlation with Ray Lewis? You don't see the similarities in the way he plays to Ray Lewis? We should be so lucky as to have Beason who models his game after one of the greatest MLB to ever play the game.

I can guarantee you that Ray Lewis has touched more lives in a positive way then the negative ways that many of you idiots imply. Other than Johnny Unitas (god rest his soul) , Ray Lewis is probably the most loved and recognized ICONS in the city of Baltimore.

I, like Ray Lewis, would love to see the what the crime rate in the U.S is when we don't have NFL. He is probably right. I hope and pray we never get to a fall without football. But if we do. My money is that Ray Lewis is right.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
