Glad to hear we are organizing player-only workouts and glad Cam is attending, was beginning to feel left out.

I think it's good for him to spend some time with his teammates, but his work at IMG may actually be more productive.

Cam is one heck of an athlete. Never questioned that. He obviously has character issues and....well, I won't go any further. But that's a moot point anyways because his trophy and possibly the AU NC trophy will be revoked in a few years anyways.

Never said that. In fact, I support Cam and hope he does well for the reason you put it- he is our franchise QB. However, it is a little embarrassing when people in the fanbase compare him to God for whatever he does. As I recall in another thread (I frequently read this site, just don't post much), something along the lines of "Cam is Jesus' personal savior".

And to keep this somewhat along the lines of this thread, as I reiterate the point that I support Cam, I'm glad he's going to take part in these workouts. Hopefully he can really get the playbook down and work out with the WRs. Possibly even get DWill's heart back into Carolina.

Completely disagree. As probably the QB with the most potential (although I actually think Ryan Mallet should hold that title...but go ahead. Call me out again considering he tore USC up even more than Cam did), he was the only choice that made sense at number 1.

AMAZING... That most of you are debating why he has multiple agents, and not excited that he is doing what most of us already knew he would do; workout with his team mates.

I know this lockout is driving us all nuts but SNAP out of it. This is great news for the franchise that we love! Quit bickering over petty BS already!

Whether it's good news or bad is up for debate. Many feel he was getting better work in Florida and this could take away from that. It's good he's going to be working with his teammates, but the quality of work might not be as great.

NCAA President, Emmert, issued this statement in Dec.

"In the Cam Newton reinstatement case, there was not sufficient evidence available to establish he had any knowledge of his father’s actions and there was no indication he actually received any impermissible benefit."

NCAA Vice President, Lennon, issued this statement in Dec.

"Based on the information available to the reinstatement staff at this time, we do not have sufficient evidence that Cam Newton or anyone from Auburn was aware of this activity, which led to his reinstatement. From a student-athlete reinstatement perspective, Auburn University met its obligation under NCAA bylaw 14.11.1. Under this threshold, the student-athlete has not participated while ineligible.”

Give it up. It's over. Auburn never even received a LOI from the NCAA. There is no more evidence on Cam or Auburn that the NCAA doesn't already have. The investigation only became public in Nov. but the NCAA had already been investigating the case for almost a year.
