Knick's may pursue Kwame Brown

Recommended Posts

Kwame Brown is on their radar after having a serviceable season with Charlotte (7.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 51.7 percent shooting). Michael Jordan's former No. 1 draft bust is 6-11, 270 pounds and though he has hands of stone, he can defend, rebound and block shots -- the only Knicks requirements.

I personally would like to see Kwame Brown back in a Bobcats uniform next year because he is kind of like MJ's project that started off horrible, but gets predominantly better.

PG - Augustin - Walker

SG - Henderson - Carroll

SF - Maggette - Cunningham

PF - Thomas - Biyombo

C - Diaw - KBrown

I dont want Diaw at center, but I have a feeling Silas will play him there. This is my projection for what the team will look like. Not what I would do but what the 2 deep will be once season starts(if it does).

Umm, no way Diaw starts at center over Kwame.

I think we have to deal Diaw and Carroll for a backup SG/SF..

BTW- I already miss Livingston..

You can't deal Carroll without taking on an equally horrendous contract.

Diaw will fetch a late first rounder this year at the trade deadline. I know it seems crazy, but Diaw is a solid player and would really help a team out that is looking for that first forward off the bench. Coaches become enamored with his talent and think they can coach the lazy out of him.

We still won't have a ton of cap space in 12 because of Diop and Carroll. I wish we didn't have those contracts, but I would rather just let them run out than try and trade them and take on even worse contracts.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
