Transformers 3 Review Party "Spoiler Warning"

Ok, personally I enjoyed the movie very much. Couple of questions though. WTF was the point of Shockwave being in the movie, he had like 2 brief scenes and only mumbled incoherent poo. Also why did Ironhide rust and fall apart? I get sentinel killed him, but none of the other transfromers rusted away into nothing. Kinda weird.

Too much gay ass human bullshiit.

Not enough transformer carnage. :skep:

Nobody cares about sam witwicky and nobody cares you hired a couple of A list actors to play dumb parts.

Just watched it this evening.

First off... it was awesome. Probably the best of the three. More intense than the other two by far (nothing like watching people get vaporized into skeletal remains in pretty good detail).

Secondly, did we watch the same movie? There was a tremendous amount of transformer carnage.

Transformer deaths that I can remember (major spoiler alert... highlight to read)

-Ironhide

-"Inventor" Autobot dude

-Sentinel Prime

-Starscream

-Megatron

-Shockwave

-Laserbeak

-The black SUV Decepticon triplets

-Dozens if not hundreds of decepticons when the tomahawk strike started, and the attack ship got sabotaged.

-Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, if not millions of transformers die when the space bridge collapsed and about a quarter, to a third, if not the whole of Cybertron gets vaporized.

So... what are you talking about there is no Transformer carnage?

Were some of the plot points weak? Yeah... sure. It was as weak as President Roosevelt ordering the building of Sherman Dam to house the All-Spark from the 1st movie.

When it comes to opinions me or you will spin it any way we can to prove ourselves right.

Yayy you blew up chicago.

Yayy shockwave was there.

Yayy transformers died.

Big fuking whoop.

They died in all three.

I wanted a movie that ignored all this human gay shiit.

Maybe carnage was a bad word to use.

Shia LaBeouf: This is my last "Transformers" (AP)

digg

facebook

MOSCOW - Shia LaBeouf's days of battling the Decepticons look to be over, with the Transformers star saying he has nothing more to offer after three films playing kid-next-door Sam Witwicky.

The 26-year-old American actor told The Associated Press he was "done" with the action-packed franchise, adding he "doesn't have anything new to contribute."

Speaking at the recent opening of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" at the Moscow International Film Festival, LaBeouf said he did not know if "there's anywhere to take Sam, really."

Directed by Michael Bay, "Transformers 3" also stars Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whitely.

I'm a huge Transformers nerd and I have the answers to your questions.

Shockwave was used as the red herring in this movie. His purpose was to deflect your attention from the real bad guy. It worked. He served his purpose. It sucks that a fan favorite was used in that manner, but I get it.

Sentinel Primes weapon is a rust gun. In the novelization of the movie he also shoots the twins with it and they rust away too. However, they were cut from the movie so you only see him use it on Ironhide.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
