Cam better start, number 1 picks should start.

Although, I fully understand if, after camps and preseason, that Cam does not seem ready Jimmy or whoever should get the start.

All I am weary about is a QB juggle like last season. Ultimately we could end up with like 5 or 6 QB changes: Cam starts, next is JC or Moore, then the FA vet, then Cam, etc etc...

I would rather just have Cam start the whole season than have a QB corall.

Either Cam is going to end up like The Golden Calf of Bristol's rookie season, or he will get to play all year.

Clausen has zero chance of being the starter. He might have a chance of playing some games but that's it. His only purpose to the panthers now is to try and get a pick for him a couple years from now.

I've said this before, but let me reiterate it...

The best we can hope for... Is for Cam to go out for two games due to some trivial injury, like a concussion... Then Jimmy comes in and plays lights out like Kevin Kolb did when McNabb was out...

That will boost his trade value tremendously and we might just get that 1st round early 2nd round pick back that we originally wasted on the guy.

That's the best case scenario for the franchise, not just my opinion.

I don't think he'll get a chance, I don't think anyone but Cam Newton will have a chance. If what Rivera said was true and that they are changing up the playbook and adding dedicated runs and more bootlegs, there isn't really anyone else on the team that could run those plays that the team would want to play at QB

I am one of the guys on here that wants to see Cam sit, and Jimmy start, but I don't think that it will happen.

It all depends on JR/Hurney, and how long of a leash they are giving Rivera in his first gig as a HC. If they have told him that we are in total rebuild mode, and they know it will take 3-4 years, I think that Cam sits. If they want wins right away, and are willing to throw Cam to the wolves, he starts.

      Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"

      Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.

      We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
