Matt Moore to the Fins.

The Dolphins have reportedly touched base with free agent Matt Moore as a fallback option in case the Broncos don't come around on Kyle Orton.

This was no unexpected. Coach Tony Sparano and GM Jeff Ireland were in Dallas when the Cowboys signed Moore as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2007. Moore is quite a step down from Orton after losing his job to Jimmy Clausen and tearing his labrum last season.

I actually like TRD!!! Haha. We live near eachother and Panther fans in SoCal gotta stick together!!!

That said, Matt Moore did poo the bed when given his chance, but I'll always have a place for him in my heart. He was a great feel good story at the end of 09. Best of luck Matt Moore. He is a classy dude and had handled his scenario with the utmost respect and level headedness. I hope he tears it up wherever he goes. He can hold a mean clipboard.

    • But are they cheap and high quality?   I'll see myself out.
    • Fully expect Lloyd's deal to look similar in structure to Phillips deal.
    • That 20m injury is guaranteed for all intents and purposes as it hits next off-season for 2028 salary. If he's on the roster for 2027, he gets the extra 20m of salary guarantees for the 2028 season.  Considering his dead cap for 2027 is 50m, he'll be on the roster to get the full guarantee switch.    Otherwise the guaranteed money is in 2026 and 2027 salary plus signing bonus.  Can be cut with cap savings after 3 years to what essentially could be a 3 year 81m dollar deal. (He's got a cap hit of 38.75m in 2027 and 2028.)
