Has anyone actually seen a later round draft pick hold out before? All I have seen are first rounders, usually given the situation some of them should get more money, but a 3rd round pick? Jimmy Pickles didn't even hold out or really get paid anything extra, even though he had a legit argument that the panthers had him ranked much much higher than they drafted him.

when we drafted him, we knew it was going to be past TC and possibly into the season before his kneee would be healed... why would ANYONE expect him to be able to pass a physical?

Back in like '97, Matt Finkes was a 6th rd. pick out of Ohio State and held out.

Was reading somewhere this afternoon that the early 3rd round is a "no man's land" of uncertainty as to how the contracts should be structured. Several early third rounders are unsigned and the few who are have not released details of their deal. Probably nothing more than everyone's reluctant to set the bar.
