“We are not trading Jay Cutler — period.”

Why wouldn't Kansas City want Cutler more than Cassel?

cutler is a cry-baby and has no leadership abilities - not exactly two traits you would be looking for in your franchise QB

Cassel on the other hand may be a one-year wonder (still to be determined), but he is humble (never had any problems riding the bench at USC for four years - could have transferred out and started somewhere else, and later being Brady's backup), has won over a locker room, and finds a way to win.

I dunno, Cutler has acted pretty youthful, but he is only 24 years old. He may not show leadership skills, but with our team the way it is right now, I'd take pure talent with no leadership, over a leader who lacks talent. I'm not saying Jake Delhomme can't play well, and I do want to give him 1 more year, but I just don't think potential franchise QB's are easy to come by. And who's to say Cutler can't gain leadership skills. Especially is Jake could mentor him. Like Rodney Peete teaching Jake how to calm down haha.

Do not take this as me trying to continue hope of Cutler being in Carolina but I say he is traded within the month now that McDaniels has come out and said this. If there was no truth to the situation he would have said nothing. By saying this the offers now only increase. And no, the Panthers will not be one of the ones bidding.

Good, save us the dumb ass temptation...

Cutler would be terrible here.

Big arm- no leadership intangibles and just a slob.

case in point= one of the highest passer ratings this season, but LOST HIS TEAM how many games?

He passed for a lot of yards, but wins matter.

Sorry.

His team had many injuries, no run game and a bad defense. He could be good in any system.

Unless it's Jake Delhomme, then people dont care about wins, only what they can use to attack(verbally, of course) him with.

Jake is the George Bush of the Carolina Panthers, if something goes wrong, people blame him, reguardless if it's his fault or not.

When the guy turns the ball over 6 times in the biggest game of the season he deserved to be attacked verbally, you just can't do that and expect to win. This is not really news as I have (along with almost everyone on here) said that he will be in a Bronco uniform next year.

BTW I agree that Bush got blamed for a lot of things he wasn't in control of.

Weren't you the same guy that said Peppers would be gone by the end of last weekend in another thread. Seriously Cutler will not be going anywhere unless he initiates it and creates a bad relationship with the new coach. Otherwise there is no one out there who Denver could pick up half as good as Cutler. Mcdaniels may be young and will make mistakes but he isn't stupid and will try and mend fences with Cutler.

As others have said the only way he would let Cutler go was for Cassel. Since that didn't work, now Cutler is the guy.

Besides I think that only reason that Cutler is acting so upset, is that he really just does't like where this team is heading and this potential trading just gave him a reason to make it look like the Broncos were the bad guys.

It's also funny that the same people who defend Jake, are seemingly the same people who bash every QB not named Jake.

I wonder if there is any QB you tools would take. You don't want to draft one, don't or wouldn't trade for anyone.

I guess the man love for Jake is too strong.

So it's ok to bash every QB better than Jake and nit pit at every little thing 'wrong' with them or their personality, but it's NOT ok to bash Jake and the LONG list of things he does wrong.

Trade Peppers for Cutler.

Don't see us valuing Cutler as high as we do Peppers. Not that he isn't a good quarterback just that since we are a run first team he wouldn't be happy in our scheme and we might feel he is wasted in our scheme.

Besides how many trades for players occur in the NFL. In Madden and the NBA, all the time. But rarely in the NFL. The only rumored one with Cassel and Cutler fell apart.

All trades these days seem to be for picks. I expect that it will be the same way with Peppers. Wouldn't be surprised if Hurney holds out for the 2 1sts until close to the draft at least unless someone comes on the market we really want.
