We're going to shock some people me thinks...

compliments of NFL.com...

Work to do: The Bucs had a nice draft with defensive ends Adrian Clayborn and Da'Quan Bowers. If the front four grows up quickly and young offensive players from last season -- LeGarrette Blount and Mike Williams -- stay hungry, the Bucs might win the division behind QB Josh Freeman. Carolina will be better than the two-win team from last season. Still, the Panthers might be a season or two away from holding their own against the other three, mainly because of the inexperience at quarterback.

lol I'm sorry but I can't see the Bucs replicating their 2010 season. Freeman is a stud but so many of their players played above their heads last year and I see them finishing 3rd at best(keep in mind I still think we'll finish 4th, but with a 6-10/7-9 record)

I like the Bucs...I like Freeman as much as any young QB in the league and HOPE that Cam is as good as he was in his first year.

Let them keep doubting us. It will make us that much more deadly and no one will see it coming. People underestimating us oughta give us a couple of winning games don't ya think?

What exactly have we proven? QB is still the biggest question mark on this team.

You do realize that if they get third, they'd be replicating their position from last year in the division? <: But yeah, I agree, for the most part. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucs were able to achieve 10-5 this year, although I haven't really taken a look at their games for this year. :\

We haven't proven anything yet but I like our chances in light of our ultimate lineup of weapons. If our defense is going to be as good as expected, our running game alone should keep us in the game. I'm not saying that we are going to the Playoffs (although that would be nice), we're going do alot better than 4 wins like everyone is predicting. I think we will at least have six wins but hey, I'm optimistic.

The NFC South is a fickle bitch who knows what anyone is going to do at this point really. The only things that are certain is that the Saints and Falcons will probably be competing for first place but sometimes things don't turn out the way that seems most likely.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
