Let's see who gets cut 1st.

We may would rather have someone who was cut than someone who is on the market right now. If we sign someone right now, we may be left with a guaranteed contract that we dont want.

I thought NFL contracts weren't guaranteed. I doubt there will be a singing bonus for a FA CB out there.

Well, there is a minimum salary + whatever signing bonus that is required, that is guaranteed if a player is signed before week one. So that even if he only plays one game and is cut, he is guaranteed that money.

However, if you were to sign someone after week one. That player would be paid basically weekly, and the team would not be on the hook for the whole season.

and people told me that we could afford Osi, now will ya'll believe that I said no we cant.

Well, we possibly could, but it would require major amounts of salary restructuring, a high draft pick, and possibly cutting another player.

But I don't want him anyways, talks more than he plays, and that says a lot because he is a pretty good player.

But, nowhere near what it would take to get him.

Do we not have enough money to extend Kalil or what?

Yes, extending Kalil would actually make us lower under the cap, depending on how the deal is structured.

His cap hit as of now is around 11 million dollars.

I would assume his new deal would make him cap hit around 8 million dollars.

But that is just a rough guess.

So extending kalil would put us roughly 5 millon under the cap.
