If you think about it, and we're going to an offense that passes, even slightly more, carrying 6 WRs makes sense.

Many teams use 5 wideouts at times, so they would have 5 active on gameday... We used to hold an extra spot for a kicker, FBs, etc.

Also, if we were trying Barnidge at LS, it may be possible we're trying to make guys more versatile so it opens up a spot for another position?
